Action Group Against Digital Violence

2026-04-23 10:30
“Women’s Initiatives” has assembled an awesome team: future students from the Department of Psychology at T.G. Shevchenko Pridnestrovian State University and the Tarasevich Pridnestrovian Medical College have joined forces to form an action group and expand their knowledge through the course “A Digital Space Free of Violence.”
Two non-stop days with experts. We covered everything: from parental control settings to how to protect yourself from sextortion. Ethics of AI use, legal nuances, psychology, IT tips—these strategies work, but adults should definitely figure them out for themselves (and often—not without the help of specialists!) before sharing this information with children.
The main takeaway from the two-day training: digital violence won’t disappear with a wave of an IT specialist’s, lawyer’s, or psychologist’s magic wand, and we’ll be living with the internet for many years to come. New solutions require teamwork, where everyone who goes online at least once a week matters. All 17 participants received certificates of completion; now they will share this knowledge and conduct their own workshops.
There is a lot of work ahead, but together we will make our digital environment cleaner and safer. Who’s with us?
The organization’s activities are supported by Sweden. The project on digital violence is implemented with support from the Oak Foundation.
